Luke Baker

Pastor




The Baker family has been attending Element since October 2022.  Luke served as a teaching elder before becoming the lead pastor in April of 2024. Luke has 20 years of ministry experience, serving in churches in Oklahoma, Texas, South Dakota, and Colorado. 


Luke and Mary have been married 18 years and have three sons- Joshua, Jonas, and Jude. They have lived in Colorado since 2012.


Luke received a B.A. in Pastoral Ministries and Biblical Studies from the Criswell College.


In his free time, Luke enjoys reading, playing cornhole, putting together puzzles with his wife, and catching a Rockies Game at Coors Field. 

Keelie Smith

Children's Minister

Keelie stepped into the role of Children’s Minister in early 2022 but she and her family have been active members of Element Church since 2017, faithfully serving the church by volunteering in multiple capacities. 

 

Keelie and her husband Seth have been married since 2014 and have five beautiful children -  C’Ne, Iba, Lilly, Troy, and Adaline

 

Keelie attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a bachelors in psychology. She has a passion for families and continuing to grow in knowledge on Christ-centered marriages and parenting. Because of that passion, she is driven to use her role in the church to partner with parents, helping to disciple their children to grow in a relationship with Christ. 

 

Keelie is also a stay-at-home mom and homeschools her school-aged kiddos, but in her free time, you will find her cheering on the Colorado Avalanche and Oklahoma State Cowboys, or cooking and baking to share with friends and family.

 

Trina Shamburg

WOrship Minister

Trina and her family have been attending Element Church for 7 years, and she has been a member of the worship team, as well as served in the children’s ministry. She stepped into the role of Worship Minister in March 2022. Her husband, Nick, also plays guitar and serves on the worship team. They have been married since 2012 and have two sweet and energetic daughters: Ella and Emerson.


Trina attended Metropolitan State University of Denver and graduated with a Bachelor’s in English in 2012. In 2015 she earned a Master of Arts in English Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado. She has been a high school English teacher for 10 years and loves the teaching and interaction with students she gets to have on a daily basis.


Trina felt called to serve as the Worship Minister at Element Church after many years of singing on the worship team. She wants to continue to grow in her leadership skills with the worship team and the church, as well as use her role to support others’ worship on Sunday mornings. The joy and closeness to God she feels through music fuels her desire to lead the church in worship.


Trina enjoys running, reading, and watching football. She loves to travel and enjoy new experiences with her family.


John Williams

Logistics coordinator

John and his family have been involved with Element Church since 2016 where they have served in set-up, worship, small group, and children's ministries. In 2022, John joined the Element staff to be in a better position to serve the logistical needs of the Church. Not only is he always ensuring each Sunday service runs smoothly, he is always looking for ways to improve the system, and is willing to step in and fix whatever might be broken.  


John and his wife Liz grew up in the Denver metro area, where they met in their high school youth group, and have been married since 2009. They have two kids; Lillian and Hayden.


John graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After several years in industry he is now a full time stay at home dad, working on home improvement projects, chauffeuring kids to all their activities, and pursuing whatever new hobby piques his interest.
